ThemeSpark provides a quick way to generate rubrics based on standards. They currently focus on national level standards but plan to add more in time.
Standards Currently Supported:
Common Core State Standards
College, Career, and Civic Life (C3) Framework for Social Studies State Standards
Next Generation Science Standards
National Coalition for Core Art Standards
21st Century Skills
The site walks you through a series of steps to narrow your choices from subject to standard. Some standards are broken down into elements allowing teachers to measure the entire standard or just a subset of the standard. Many of the standards have been reworded to differentiate among levels of mastery within a rubric.
Simple & Quick Menu
The site doesn’t offer many ways to customize your rubric, but that’s the point. They have taken a minimalist approach so that you can “make a standards-based rubric in less than a minute.”
Finished rubrics can be downloaded as PDFs. Rubrics can be shared via URL, email, Facebook, Twitter, or Likedin.
