Effective Feedback Made Easy
Teachers often struggle to find enough time to provide feedback that is personalized, ongoing, and timely. However, these characteristics of effective feedback are as essential as they are time-consuming. Instead of spending hours typing feedback (even voice-typing requires a lot of corrections and formatting), teachers can now quickly provide feedback just by recording their voice.
Mote – Faster, Friendlier Feedback
Mote works through a Chrome extension that makes it easy for teachers to leave students voice-recorded feedback in Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Classroom. Students don’t need the Mote extension or even an account to listen to recorded feedback. It’s a real time-saver and a great way to provide effective feedback.
Sign up for a free account.
Install Mote’s Chrome Extension.
Open Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, or Classroom.
Reload the page.
Create Your Voice Note
Select any text or image.
Click the + to open the standard Google comments box.
Click the Mote icon to start recording (30 seconds max. for free accounts).
Click Done when complete.
Click Comment to save your recording.
Transcription of your recording is available with paid accounts, but you can always type a comment in addition to your voice comment if you wish.
Students Easily Access Feedback
Your recordings are connected directly to the text or image you selected and appear within the document in one of two ways: users with Mote installed can play the feedback directly within their document or users without Mote installed click on a link to access the recording in a separate tab.
