Short on time, but looking for a visual way for students to express ideas? Checkout PosterGen. Many poster makers allow students to really explore their creativity with a wide variety of editing options. PosterGen’s minimalist interface makes it stand out as a simpler option – perfect for quickly making a high-quality poster without spending too much time tweaking every detail.
With 35 different poster generators to choose from, here are my six favorites for use in the classroom.
Keep Calm Generator
Now your students can create their own “Keep Calm and… ” poster in seconds. I borrowed this idea from my IT friends.
Choose from 10 different colors of chalk, 30 fonts, and 5 border styles (if you even want a border).
Just about the only thing you need to decide is where to create a new line of text (by pressing RETURN).
Selecting “Full Width Text” stretches words out so that lines with fewer words will appear in a larger font.
Neon Text Generator
Customizing your poster is streamlined to a handful of options (font, text alignment, font color, background color, etc).
Subway Art Generator
You can even just enter your text and click GENERATE.
Download Your Poster
No account is required, and downloading your creations is as simple as saving an image. Posters that you download have a small banner at the bottom promoting PosterGen (they are in the business of selling quality prints of the posters people generate). It’s a small price to pay for a free poster maker that is so easy to use.
